WELLBEING FOR WOMEN
We support our kiritaki (participants) through the unique challenges and stressors that women face that can significantly impact their mental health, addressing issues like:
- Pregnancy loss
- Unwanted and terminated pregnancies
- Antenatal depression
- Preterm birth and children with chronic illnesses
- Family violence
- Societal pressures
- Caregiving responsibilities
- Workplace discrimination
- Unequal access to healthcare
Hormonal changes throughout life stages, such as puberty, pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause, also influence mental health, making it essential to address these specific needs.
Supporting women's mental health helps promote resilience, empowerment, and better quality of life, allowing them to contribute more effectively to their families, communities, and workplaces. Addressing stigma, fostering supportive environments, and providing equitable access to mental health resources are key to ensuring women can thrive and reach their full potential.
