WELLBEING FOR YOUTH
We support young people aged 15-25, with specialised programmes for those up to 35. Our services are culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and centred on each individual, ensuring our approach respects and upholds the identity and traditions of every person. The core activities incorporate a process of creative wellbeing, collaboration and community, contributing to meaningful and long-term benefits that empower people, families and society.
By encouraging self-exploration through movement and art-making, we help our kiritaki (participants) strengthen their mental health, addressing issues like:
- Trauma and abuse
- Family harm
- Socioeconomic disadvantage
- Cultural marginalisation and racism
- Educational disengagement
- Substance abuse
- Social isolation and bullying
- Gender and sexual identity issues
- Other vulnerabilities and generational concerns such as climate change
We encourage youth-led activities and projects and enable systemic change by empowering rangatahi with creativity and connections, allowing them to live the change our future mental health system so desperately needs.
