Carrie Weston

Art Therapist

Carrie is a registered, practicing clinical arts therapist, artist, and socially engaged professional. Within her eight years of working in professional mental healthcare, Carrie has accumulated a wide breadth and depth of interpersonal experience as well as an enthusiasm for social diversity, inclusivity, and change. She has worked privately, in NGOs, and in education settings, centering her work in practices that engage young people in creative and innovative ways. She has a special interest in neurodiversity, trauma, and anxiety, as well as in working with notions of Community.


Carrie has been a part of Creative Collaborative since 2017. She began her collaboration in a voluntary position whilst she was a tauira studying for her Masters of Art in Arts Therapy (Clinical) and has since journeyed into a full-time employed role. She is enthusiastic about her professional growth alongside Creative Collaborative, as well as about being able to provide inclusive, participant-led programmes to her community’s rangatahi.
